Philadelphia Gas Works

In the summer of 2007, The Philadelphia Gas Works contacted Precision Mechanical Services to remove two existing 300-ton steam absorber chillers located in the basement of PGW headquarters. On this particular project, Precision Mechanical designed a plan that would be executed in five phases to accommodate customer needs. In the first phase, we set up a temporary chiller to maintain building temperature. Next we removed the first chiller. We then installed a new chiller, piping and insulation. This completed the second and third phase of the assignment. We then moved to the second chiller and repeated this process: first removing the old chiller and finally replacing it to complete the fourth and fifth phases of the task. This project underscores our ability to develop a plan customized to meet the unique needs of our client, and execute that plan to produce safe, efficient results with minimal disruption.
